Meet the Doctors
Meet Dr. Justin D. Kiggins
Dr. Justin D. Kiggins, D.M.D. thoroughly enjoys practicing dentistry in beautiful Carson City and absolutely loves the dental field! Dr. Kiggins graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to complete a residency in General Dentistry at the University of Utah Hospital, where he received additional training in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Implants, and Pediatric Dentistry. He is certified in sedation dentistry.
Continuing education is important to Dr. Kiggins. He spends several hours each year attending courses and keeping abreast of the latest technology and changes in the dental field. He has completed the hundreds of hours of required coursework and is preparing to take the exam to earn his F.A.G.D. (only 7% of general dentists in the country achieve this honor.) He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Northern Nevada Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Nevada Dental Association.
When Dr. Kiggins is not with his patients or doing one of his cartwheels for his young patients, Dr. Kiggins loves to be with his family. He has been married for twenty years and has four children. He enjoys charcoal barbecuing, going to the gym and watching college football. Dr. Kiggins is fluent in Portuguese and speaks Spanish with many of patients.
Meet Dr. Amam Nasir
Dr. Amam Nasir is a general dentist dedicated to providing comfortable, comprehensive dental care with a strong focus on patient relationships, clinical excellence, and long-term oral health. Originally from Keokuk, Iowa, he completed both his Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology and his DDS at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he developed a passion for restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and comprehensive treatment planning.
Dr. Nasir has extensive experience treating a wide range of dental needs, including crowns and bridges, root canal therapy, surgical extractions, removable prosthetics, implant treatment planning, and emergency dental care. He has completed advanced continuing education through Implant Pathway Education with training in implant placement, flap design, bone removal, CBCT interpretation, occlusion, and surgical planning. He has also completed extensive continuing education through Spear Education and Gordon J. Christensen programs, allowing him to stay current with modern techniques, materials, and evidence-based dentistry.
In private practice, Dr. Nasir has experience performing high-level restorative and surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment, including complex crown and bridge cases, difficult extractions, molar root canal therapy, and comprehensive restorative treatment.
During dental school and clinical training, Dr. Nasir worked closely with specialists across multiple disciplines and gained valuable experience serving diverse and underserved patient populations. He also completed a hospital-based externship at Broadlawns Medical Center focused on urgent and emergency dental treatment.
Beyond clinical dentistry, Dr. Nasir has a strong background in leadership and communication. He served as President of the Orthodontics Club at Iowa and participated in craniofacial genetics research that was presented at conferences including at Harvard Medical School.
Outside the office, Dr. Nasir enjoys music, fitness, motorcycles, snowboarding, and travel. He has also worked as a DJ for weddings and formal events and enjoys bringing creativity, energy, and positivity into everything he does.
